Review:

***Spoiler Alert***

What I Liked About the Book:

As an aspiring journalist, I found it thrilling that the main protagonist was also one. The characters were well-developed and blended seamlessly into the story. The theme of European art, which I’ve been following with interest, made me even more excited as it became an integral part of the plot. The portrayal of the villain, Margaux de Laurent, was especially compelling. Every time she appeared, there was an intimidating aura that made her more fascinating than even the protagonist. The writing style also had a hint of Dan Brown’s influence, which I appreciated.

What I Didn't Like About the Book:

There isn’t much I disliked about the book, but I felt the character of Adam could have been utilized better. Although Adam played a part in helping Jules and the others get to Margaux, his involvement could have been developed more thoroughly. I was hoping to see more of his influence on the plot, though I did enjoy the sweet romance between Jules and Adam.

Finally, Is the book really worth it ?

A solid thriller, narrated in a subtle yet engaging way. I would definitely recommend this novel.

Publication Year: 2019
